Roy Maas Youth Alternatives

For over 15 years, LDEISA has provided a festive holiday party for the children of Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, which provides shelter for children to heal from severe abuse and violence. Also served are young adults from RMYA TurningPoint Transitional Living Program.

The San Antonio Dames provide gifts from each child’s “wish list” that are distributed by Santa. Central Market donates gingerbread houses; we provide piles of candy and icing for the children to decorate their own houses. 

Dames provide and serve the children an elegant holiday steak meal with all the trimmings. Many members consider this one of the most rewarding experiences of the year. When you serve a child their meal and hear them say “All of this is for me?”, your heart melts.
